PU External and EP Internal Coating of 2400 mm OD Pipes in Assaluyeh

Sea Water Intake and Cooling Water of Ghadir Petrochemical located in Assaluyeh Port. (Solvent Free Polyurethane & Epoxy coating of internal and external surfaces of pipes and miter bends size between 1000 to 2400mm). The range of pipe diameters that can be coated in SADAF PU/EP plant are 28″ to 128″, this plant can be extended to install equipment for smaller dia. pipes in future. Polyurethane/Epoxy coating plant has the following main coated/bare pipes in order to avoid damage to them. Coated pipes should be handled in such a manner & under such conditions that they are not exposed to impact of any kind.

Pipe supplied with beveled ends for welding must be handled so that the bevels are not damaged by collision, shocks, etc.

• Pipe storage will be on two rows of sand. When sand rows are used, they must be least 40 cm 7 m apart, with bearing surface width of one meter. For bare pipes, the sand rows will be covered with plastic sheeting and shall be positioned at an angle sufficient to ensure adequate water drainage. It should be noted that pipe stacking will not exceed 1 high for all pipes in diameter range 1400 to 3000 mm
• Pipe handling will be undertaken using a crane with end hooks of aluminum construction or steel hook with bronze protector plants. Contact surfaces must be free from debris and/or damage, which may be injurious to the pipe
• Pipe transportation shall be made using trailer or flat truck fitted with restraining bolsters to prevent damage
